Dr. Jose Rubio serves as the Chief Medical Doctor of Anesthesia for Level Up Anesthesia. Dr. Rubio was born in Mexico and raised in Houston, Texas, where he attended medical school and later completed his residency in New York City. After completing his residency, he returned to Texas in 2011 and has served as the Department Chairman for Anesthesia at 14 hospitals.

Dr. Rubio’s career has prepared him to focus on patient safety, patient satisfaction, and how to respond to the needs of dentists and surgeons. He has experience in almost all facets of medical services, including neonatal, pediatrics, OB, regional, thoracic, endoscopy, transplant, urology, orthopedics, vascular, plastics, ENT, OMFS, dental, trauma, massive transfusions, shock, acute coronary syndromes, CHF, cardiac valvopathy, pulmonary embolism, central venous access, intubation, COPD exacerbation, pulmonary HTN, and much more.

Dr. Rubio strives to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable medical services to his patients while helping to streamline and improve hospital processes. He will continue demonstrating management and leadership abilities in all his professional endeavors. He enjoys building relationships with clients, staff, colleagues, and administrators with the mutual goal of improving patient safety, medical efficiency, and cost containment. He is passionate about his work and dedication to providing the best care possible to his patients.
